To start off the New Year we have moved the “Crowd Pleaser” a few miles to the North to the fabulous Cove Marina. We are now located just South of the Boca Resort in Deerfield Beach (Hillsboro Blvd and the Intracoastal). The Cove is a brand new marina with tons of parking and a beautiful restaurant and bar located on the Intracoastal. I think everyone will be very pleased with this new location and it also, allows us to fish a little farther to the North in an area that we think produces THE best fishing in South Florida.Sail fishing has been relatively consistent throughout December into January. The big push of fish we’ve all been waiting for is finally here, with many boats producing double digit catches in the past few days. With any luck the sailfish bite will continue through February, and beyond. The Blue Moon which occurred on New Year’s produced a phenomenal wahoo bite. When we’ve been targeting those “stripes” (wahoos) and we’ve been rewarded with some great “trophy” catches. In other news we still have a lot of blackfin tunas hanging around, although they have typically been smaller fish than we see in the spring.

The kingfish bite continues to improve and we have been seeing some nice mahis (dolphin), on the easterly winds…

November is traditionally the start of our winter sailfish season and we seem to be right on track. The first cold fronts passing through have produced some good numbers of sailfish and that is a great sign for the upcoming months.

Along with the sailfish, the first full moon of November produced an epic wahoo bite with some boats catching five or six on half day charters.

Leading into the Thanksgiving holiday we have been catching nice mahi (dolphin), large kink mackral, blackfin and skipjack tuna, in Pompano.

Winter is here, and that means a lot of kite fishing and “live baiting” in general. We love that style of fishing and this year we have added some new weapons to our arsenal. We will be using some lighter tackle with much higher gear ratios, allowing us to retreive line on those speedsters much faster. That can be a big advantage when the trophy sailfish strikes and burns off a couple hundred yards of line at blistering speeds. As always we will do “whatever it takes” to find you that trophy fish you are looking for. Wheather it’s a sailfish, swordfish, mahi (dolphin), tuna, bottom dweller, etc.

The fishing changes constantly in Fort Lauderdale and Pompano, with weather conditionss, current changes and moon phases. So… feel free to contact us anytime for the most recent happenings.

Yesterday we got out and caught a dozen dolphin and a couple of sailfish…… YES the winter sailfish bite is on! Call us up at 954-673-3616 to set up your trip. When the fronts are coming through so are those big sails. We fished right off the lighthouse off Pompano Beach to get our catch and we were only out for a few hours. Fishing off Fort Lauderdale was also good from what I heard on the radio.

Hello Everyone! Some confusion on our location has been pointed out to me! We are in Pompano Beach about ONE MILE North of Fort Lauderdale and FIVE MILES South of Boca Raton. If you are not walking you can count on 15 minutes or less to our boat and your day of deep sea fishing and sport fishing! On the “Crowd Pleaser”, a spectacular 45 foot Hatteras Sportfishing boat we aim to live up to the name of the vessel. Fishing off the Florida Coast in our area is close and good. About a mile out we get our run of sailfish- true trophy’s! Dolphin, blackfin tuna, wahoo and king mackerel are all right there.

Come on down and see us at the Sands Harbor Marina on Atlantic Blvd and the intracoastal waterway- just on the North and east side of the bridge, two blocks from the beach. Often we are out fishing so to set up your trip its best to just call…

To set up your trip call me, Captain Jed DuBois at 954-673-3616. It’s the boat cell phone so I can always be reached to set up your next or first South Florida Adventure!
