2005 Happy New Year! January

1st-9th Sailfish Sharks Dolphin

Sailfish are on the move! Its been a good week for kite fishing with the live goggle eyes if you can get them. Bait salesmen have been gouging everyone on the price of livebait so we have been catching some bait on our own and buying just a few. We did a couple of trips up at the Boca Resort this week including one with Dave and a giant cuda in the box! On the first we caught a nice hammerhead out of the kite. They are biting on the reef in 150 feet of water. We got the Farrells out on Sunday but it was rough going, the best part of the trip was the beer at the bar afterwards and the good company. Eric came out by himself on Tuesday and got a nice sailfish as well as a bunch of kings. Steve Faulk came out with his family and caught a slammin Golden Amberjack off adeep wreck and some kings. Mahi Mahi bit good for Tom Brahney and crew. These tasty guys were all over the reef, making all the local fishermen happy. Saaturday we dcaught some tilefish and a big king mackerel. Sunday we brought Danny, Bill and Will Sawyer out for some kingfish in the afternoon- Good to see you Danny! In the morning we got a saifish and a dolphin for the Julews.

10th-16th We like Sailfish, massive king bite

Up at the Boca Raton Resort the fishing was good for king mackerel on Monday. Kings have been biting good all week with my friend Don Dischert saying its the best he has ever seen. Teusdasy we caught more kings a sailfish and a golden Amberjack. Wednesday Scott Muschewske and crew caught a bunch of kings, a couple of cudas and when we switched over to the bottom a Giant Grouper. In the afternoon we decided to stay with Giant Grouper fishing and we caught our limit of them including a 49 pounder! The weekend brought big catches of kingfish and sailfish just 3/4 of a mile from our inlet. Dorothy Smith got a sailfish! So did Linda and Frank! So did Rick Robertson! Fishing is at it's best, Call and come out now while the action stays hot!!!!!

JAN 17TH-23RD HOT REEF ACTION

Fishing off of Ft. Lauderdale this week has been great right on the beach close to the beach. We've been limiting out on kings almost every trip, with big Lauderdale sails being the highlight. Sportfishing for dolphin (mahi-mahi) has also been surprisingly decent landing a fish on almost every trip!
