Spring time bite

Spring is here finally!!

The red-hot sailfish bite continued throughout March and into April. As April has come on we are starting to see that hot fishing across the board. The big tuna, mahis, and a steady king Mackerel bite. The shark migration is in full swing and the wrecks are teaming with rod bending denizens! No doubt this is our favorite time of year and it is just getting started. As April turns to May and on into June the bite becomes more and more reliable. Give us a call we don't want to miss any of the action!stand bye ,we will keep you posted!

February sailfishing

For a few days in the last week of February it almost seemed like we were in Costa Rica. Man the sailfish were pouring through!!problem was it was a full moon and baits were hard to come by. We were lucky enough to get in on the tail end but I heard of some boats getting upwards of 30 shots at em in 1 trip!!Spring is right around the corner and we should start seeing those pairs of big mahis that everyone loves. We are on the prowl for those and the big Blackfin Tuna,we will keep you posted.

Crowdpleaser is re-born!

We have had crowd pleaser out of service for what seemed like forever. We took our time refinishing the exterior, gave her a complete mechanical refresh and updated all the electronics. The boat is looking good, running good and more comfortable than ever .everything we did was with our customers in mind. She has 2 brand new ac units for those steamy summer days and a brand new gen-set to ensure she stays Ice cold on the fishing grounds. We replaced all the electronics and set up our entertainment so that our customers can always bring their favorite music and blue tooth it through our system. She is back in action at the Hillsboro inlet,so close to the fishing grounds that we can't even get up to full speed before reaching them!Stop by and check us out.

December 2017 Fishing Report | January 2018 Forecast

Hi! Capt. Rob from Ultimate Sportfishing aboard the Crowd Pleaser.

December has had its ups and downs ending up with a pretty solid sailfish presence along with a super moon wahoo bite. The forecast for early January 2018 looks like an epic sailfish migration. Every year we have those few days in January that you don't want to miss!! Even 1/2 days can produce double-digit sailfish catches.

Give me a call (954-673-3616) so that we can get in on it! Along with the sails, we have also had a pretty solid tuna presence and there are still some nice mahis hanging around offshore.

Happy new year to everyone- lets make 2018 a year that we can tell stories about for many more

Thanks for checking us out,

Capt.Rob

Fabulous Fishing in Fort Lauderdale

Fabulous February is upon us. Best bet around the full moon has been the best Fort Lauderdale fishing for wahoo is in 400 feet and deeper waters. The speedster have been around in roving packs, hasn't been unusual to get several bites at once. Sail fishing has been sporadic with fish here one day and gone the next. We have been catching a few kingfish, Bonita and some decent tuna. There have been some mahis around offshore as well.

Sailfish Fishing in Fort Lauderdale

We had been looking forward to hosting Al Brooks And His wife Terry for some time. Al has taken me as a guest on many memorable Maryland waterfowl hunts. The plan was to head out off the coast of Fort Lauderdale and catch sailfish. Monday  (day after the super bowl) started out eerily quiet, we seemed to be the only boat out. After finding some live bait,we were greeted at the inlet by an 8ft. ground swell rolling across the mouth. Timing was definitely gonna be everything when fishing in Fort Lauderdale. I knew the thought of returning through that was going to be on my mind all day.cold and windy we started out trolling missing a few bites and boating a kingfish. Time to kite fish and after a couple of hours there he was. Al and Terry deferred to their guest John, so after a great fight, some pics and a healthy tag and release we were headed for home. Of course the old girl handled the inlet seamlessly. Day 2 we went straight to kite fishing and within moments we has Al's fish on. Terry was next releasing a healthy shark. As we were wrapping it up with everyone watching a giant wahoo skyrockets on the left long. Of course he sliced right through the sailfish leader but what a sight. Thanks for all the hunting trips Al, hope you had a  good time, we are looking forward to next time.

Springtime fishing in Fort Lauderdale and Pompano is finally here!

April fishing in Pompano Beach at its finest. Its just starting to roll and we love it,so give us a call and lets get in on it! In another note we moved back to The sands harbor marina its located at Atlantic blvd.and the intracoastal in Pompano Beach. Its minutes from Boca Raton, Delray, Deerield Beach and Fort Lauderdale. February Fishing Report 2012

The sailfishing has slowed down in the past week.Fishing Pompano, deerfield beach, boca raton, all the way north to delray beach weve managed to catch a handful of fish. The mild winter this year has made them more unpredictable.Hopefully they will surprise us show up in numbers and hang around for awhile.Mahi fishing has been going off with lots of gaffers and some real slammers thrown in.While catchig the mahis weve also been encountering som nice wahoos and a few blackfin tunas.Throw in a few skipjacks, bonitas and kings too.It is february so were in the height of the shark migration if you want to catch one of these giant trophies now is the time!

January Sailfishing 2010

To start off the New Year we have moved the “Crowd Pleaser” a few miles to the North to the fabulous Cove Marina. We are now located just South of the Boca Resort in Deerfield Beach (Hillsboro Blvd and the Intracoastal). The Cove is a brand new marina with tons of parking and a beautiful restaurant and bar located on the Intracoastal. I think everyone will be very pleased with this new location and it also, allows us to fish a little farther to the North in an area that we think produces THE best fishing in South Florida.Sail fishing has been relatively consistent throughout December into January. The big push of fish we’ve all been waiting for is finally here, with many boats producing double digit catches in the past few days. With any luck the sailfish bite will continue through February, and beyond. The Blue Moon which occurred on New Year’s produced a phenomenal wahoo bite. When we’ve been targeting those “stripes” (wahoos) and we’ve been rewarded with some great “trophy” catches. In other news we still have a lot of blackfin tunas hanging around, although they have typically been smaller fish than we see in the spring.

The kingfish bite continues to improve and we have been seeing some nice mahis (dolphin), on the easterly winds…

November Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Fishing Report

November is traditionally the start of our winter sailfish season and we seem to be right on track. The first cold fronts passing through have produced some good numbers of sailfish and that is a great sign for the upcoming months.

Along with the sailfish, the first full moon of November produced an epic wahoo bite with some boats catching five or six on half day charters.

Leading into the Thanksgiving holiday we have been catching nice mahi (dolphin), large kink mackral, blackfin and skipjack tuna, in Pompano.

Winter is here, and that means a lot of kite fishing and “live baiting” in general. We love that style of fishing and this year we have added some new weapons to our arsenal. We will be using some lighter tackle with much higher gear ratios, allowing us to retreive line on those speedsters much faster. That can be a big advantage when the trophy sailfish strikes and burns off a couple hundred yards of line at blistering speeds. As always we will do “whatever it takes” to find you that trophy fish you are looking for. Wheather it’s a sailfish, swordfish, mahi (dolphin), tuna, bottom dweller, etc.

The fishing changes constantly in Fort Lauderdale and Pompano, with weather conditionss, current changes and moon phases. So… feel free to contact us anytime for the most recent happenings.

Sailfish and Mahi Mahi (Dolphin)

Hey everybody! It’s Saturday and a rare day to be at the dock-yet here we are. Yesterday we got out and caught a dozen dolphin and a couple of sailfish…… YES the winter sailfish bite is on! Call us up at 954-673-3616 to set up your trip. When the fronts are coming through so are those big sails. We fished right off the lighthouse off Pompano Beach to get our catch and we were only out for a few hours. Fishing off Fort Lauderdale was also good from what I heard on the radio.

Pompano Beach Fort Lauderdale Boca Raton Sportfishing

Hello Everyone! Some confusion on our location has been pointed out to me! We are in Pompano Beach about ONE MILE North of Fort Lauderdale and FIVE MILES South of Boca Raton. If you are not walking you can count on 15 minutes or less to our boat and your day of deep sea fishing and sport fishing! On the “Crowd Pleaser”, a spectacular 45 foot Hatteras Sportfishing boat we aim to live up to the name of the vessel. Fishing off the Florida Coast in our area is close and good. About a mile out we get our run of sailfish- true trophy’s! Dolphin, blackfin tuna, wahoo and king mackerel are all right there.

Come on down and see us at the Sands Harbor Marina on Atlantic Blvd and the intracoastal waterway- just on the North and east side of the bridge, two blocks from the beach. Often we are out fishing so to set up your trip its best to just call…

To set up your trip call me, Captain Jed DuBois at 954-673-3616. It’s the boat cell phone so I can always be reached to set up your next or first South Florida Adventure!
